Built with Care for Places That Provide It

Unique challenges come with working in an area where people are receiving care, such as a hospital or other medical facility. Special care has to be taken with everything from scheduling coordination to managing infection control of dust and other potential contaminants in the construction zone.

Our experience and ability to safely and efficiently work in infection controlled environments has allowed us to competitively complete several medical projects. We have built and renovated various medical facilities in the Mid-Missouri area. Much of our work in medical facilities has been done for the medical center complex at the University of Missouri, which includes an MRI facility, medical science laboratories and a hybrid operating room.

University Hospital — MRI Installation 

MRI machines are important tools in healthcare that are constantly in use. When working with the University of Missouri Teaching Hospital to install a new MRI area adjacent to their current MRI, which was needed to remain in operation, the Five Oaks Associates team knew this work would be a challenge and had to be done efficiently, cleanly, and with an expedited schedule. 

Throughout the project, our team diligently worked with the nurses and other staff so they could maintain quality care for their patients. While our work was focused in one area, we had to carefully and cleanly transport our materials into the construction area. Then, in order to install the new machine, we had to be considerate while scheduling utility outages in the area to minimize downtime. Through careful scheduling and taking exceptional care, the new machine was installed in the updated area with minimal disruption to regular hospital operations.
